Castleview Hospital believes it is your right to receive -professional, considerate and respectful care in an atmosphere that perpetuates the belief that every individual is a person of worth and dignity, including respect for cultural and spiritual needs. Expect that a reasonable effort will be made to assist you regardless of physical or language barriers.
You have the right to receive care in a safe environment, to be free from all forms of abuse or harassment and have access to protective services. We respect your right to personal and information privacy.
Individuals shall be accorded impartial access to treatment or accommodations that are available or medically indicated regardless of race, creed, sex, nature of origin or source of payment for care. We protect patients and respect their rights during research, investigation and clinical trials involving human subjects according to our policy.
Castleview Hospital affirms the right of each patient to make decisions regarding their medical care, so that informed consent may be given prior to any procedure or treatment. The patient's and family's input on ethical issues, including the decision to refuse or discontinue treatment to the extent permitted by the law will be respected. Castleview Hospital has a Medical Ethics Committee available upon request to provide support, education and assistance with problem resolution. We believe the patient has the right to have a resolution to a concern or complaint involving the hospital staff or ancillary personnel.
Patients have a right to request a discharge planning evaluation at any time.
Expect that subject to your consent, you will receive visitors whom you designate, including but not limited to a spouse, a domestic partner (including a same sex domestic partner), another family member or a friend and you may withdraw or deny such consent at any time.
