“It is difficult to express how wonderful these years have been for me,” said Watkins. “I am so proud to be associated with all of the dedicated staff and friends at Castleview Hospital who help make our communities healthier. It will be sad to leave, the truth is I love my job and the people I work with.”

Watkins also served in the United States Military, Utah National Guard during 1985-1989 in the 144th Hospital Unit. During her time at Castleview, Watkins also volunteered in the community in many different areas, to name a few: Board of Directors Carbon Boys & Girls Club, USU Eastern Nursing Department Professional Committee, Trauma Advisory Committee, and USU Eastern Adjunct Nursing Instructor.

“Terri’s passion for learning and her commitment to the profession of nursing has had a tremendous impact on our staff and on our organization,” Said Mark Holyoak, Castleview CEO. “We are honored and privileged to have worked alongside Terri in her efforts to make communities healthier. We are extremely appreciative of her service and wish her the best in retirement.”

Watkins is looking forward to spending a great deal of time with her sweetheart Chuck and their grandchildren. She has also stocked up on fabric and will have her sewing machine going full speed in any spare time she has.

Filling in the shoes for Watkins as chief Nursing Officer at Castleview Hospital is Grant Barraclough. Barraclough has been at Castleview Hospital since 2006, working in Physical Therapy, Med Surg, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Services, Emergency Department, and most recently as our Assistant CNO. Barraclough a proven leader in our organization, demonstrated leadership as the Emergency Department Director and saw us through our recent designation of a Stroke Receiving Facility and successful Accreditation as a Certified Chest Pain Center, amongst many other accomplishments.
